So basically i cannot get the video to work using the Skype app for the Prime. I have tried everything, making sure the video is enabled in the settings, force close/uninstall/reinstall. I know some have had the same issue while others have had no issues at all. So what gives? Did anyone else have this issue and if so what did you do to correct it? Again, i have tried all the settings and made sure the camera is on.

Skype issues with Prime

Sorry. I was asking the OP to help troubleshoot their problem. I know how it is suppose to look. I should have been more specific.
When i start the call i can see myself, but when the other person connects the screen goes blank on both sides and only audio comes through. I have also checked to make sure the front camera is on, and still nothing. The other party is using a mac, would that be an issue? She doesnt have a problem connecting with other windows based pcs.

What does your WiFi signal strength look like. If skype doesn't think it has enough bandwidth it will not transfer video either direction. Knowing that the audio works will help your troubleshooting, but some other users here have complained about weak WiFi connectivity. The next time you start Skype, try to get as close to the router as possible and see if the video feed stays up. If it does, slowly walk away from the router and go to the area you were when the issue presented itself and see if still has video transmission.
