So far I've really had some battery probs with my Skyrocket. Hopefully what I share here will help some of you.
I too had the battery meter problem that there are several threads about. (Meter stuck at 100%.) I took the phone to two different Best Buys (bought the phone at BB), I called Samsung, and I went into my local AT&T store. I got the most help from the nice man at the AT&T store He knew the issue that I was talking about and ordered a new battery for me. (Best Buy kept telling me that it was because of the apps I had running, Samsung didn't know what I was talking about.) Now with the new battery I haven't had any issues so far.
I also have been amazed at how short the battery life is. I would charge the phone all night, unplug it at 6:30 am, and then head to work. I generally have been using the phone for just one hour while I was at lunch. I'd make a couple calls, play games, text, and sometimes look something up on the world wide web. My battery was usually done by 3 pm. I would read comments by others here saying that they were happy with how long the battery lasted with their moderate or heavy usage. GRRR. So with this new battery, I charged it to 100% last night. It hit 100% at about 8 pm. I've been using my phone so far today more that I would have during a one hour lunch. It's now 1:30 pm...nearly 18 hours later and I'm still at 55%.
The moral of my story? If you are not satisfied with your battery...try a different battery. Really!
