Skyrocket battery...

Android Enthusiast
I know the whole battery question with this device and other Android devices have been beaten to death.

But, on average what would you say in one day, with average use should the Skyrocket's battery last (with LTE & without)?

Curious; I'm testing to see how much I can get out of it over the next few days...

Thanks

For two days straight the battery has been very good. Albeit I've been on WIFI at home and at work. As a test, tomorrow I'll turn the WIFI off while am at work...

I fully charged my device, and turned off WIFI, hence running from 4G\LTE.

From 06:00 - 11:19 EST, and my battery is at 75%. But, I've had two phone calls, about five minutes or so each. I've also been running Twitter and Instagram quite a bit this morning, lastly using TapaTalk, as well...

I think this is a pretty good percentage, no?

I'm rather impressed...

I'm a heavy user so I ended up buying an extra battery and normally swap out at least once a day sometimes twice if I"m on the phone a lot.

Got the 2.3.6 update last night and seem to be getting better battery life today.

Some days I have went 14 hours on a single battery for the day.

LTE is available in my general area now, last night I have been getting LTE sporadically at my house. Pretty cool since I live in a town with a population of 600 people!

Imagine my battery life will be decreased some now, since LTE is twice as fast as my home internet and I'll be using it more.

If you are getting decent battery usage, can you also indicate what you have your settings at in order to get that usage? I use my phone heavily (texting, web usage, and game playing) for about an hour when i am at lunch and I usually get about 10 hours from a fully charged battery. I've got GPS off, bluetooth off, wi-fi off, screen at 50% brightness. Emails sync every 4 hours and I go into task manager and exit all things that are running when it's time to turn the phone off and go back to work. What can I do to get more mileage out of my battery?

The only thing I did was set my screen to 10% brightness, and Power Saving Mode is on. That's it...

I have GPS, WIFI and Bluetooth on all the time. I have bluetooth in my car, I'd hate to have to turn it on every time I walked to my car...

Oh...yes, I have battery saving mode on at 70%. (I wonder if I'm forgetting anything else?)

OK, so since the display takes up so much of the juice, I turned it WAY down. Hopefully I can get battery usage closer to yours and everyone else's now.

Just purchased a 2250mAh battery from Amazon which is the same size as the stock one. Getting good reviews that it adds a few hours of battery life. Figured for $11 it was worth a try.

Thanks for the tip. I just ordered one from Amazon. :D

Just wondering is the 2250mAh battery the biggest there is for our phone that will fit with the stock back cover?

I would say stock battery life is better than the thunderbolt was on verizon with lte. Definetly worse than the iPhone 4s but that is to be expected. Anyone know if the note is getting longer life?

Purchased the 2250 ma battery from Amazon. Been through four use/recharge cycles. Significantly worse than OEM 1850. Waste of money, scam city.

Bought an extended Nexus battery at a Verizon store, I am getting better life with it then the one that came with my phone.
