Here is the history of my phone. I got in new from ATT orginally, ungraded to the leaked, ICS 4.0.3. Had initial problems, so decided to roll back to GB. But being a newby, I hadnt saved my orginal GB. So I downloaded one off the net. SGH-I727-UCKJ2-k0nane.tar. used ODIN to put that on. All went well. So tryed the leaked ICS again, things were good.

But the phone part got to be problamatic over time, really lagggy. Then out come the official ICS 4.0.4 upgrade. Great. But I cant connect to KIES, Tried 4 different PCs, reinstalling Kies several times, upgrading phone drivers, rebooting. Nothing worked.

So Figured it had to be the phone. So i used ODIN and put SGH-I727-UCKJ2-k0nane back on it. Had to then do a factory reset. And all was good, other than the fact that its now on GB 2.3.5

Now it connects to Kies, im thinking great, this will work NO

Now I get: Your device does not support software upgrading via Kies.
Current firmwasre Version: PDA:KJ2 / PHONE:LC4 / CSC"KJ2 (ATT)

If I look on the phone, setting. I have baseband I727UCAL4 Kernel Version 2.6.35.11 Build # GINGERBREAD.UCKJ2

I am about of ideas. The only think I can think of now its to try and find another version of GB and ODIN that.

Anyone offer any help??????

Problem solved. Downloaded another Stock Gingerbread ROM , INstalled that with ODIN, then upgraded to ICS 4.0.4 with ease.

Would you be willing to share the source of the stock ROM you downloaded? I am having the same issue and would like to have a stock ROM that I know is dependable.

Been looking forward to having ICS on my phone since getting it for my Acer Iconia Tab A100.
