sleep mode

My previous phone had a sleep mode, where notifications would turn off after a certain time at night, so I don't get woken up in the middle of the night for every stupid email. I can't find how to set this on my new RAZR MAXX. Does it have such a feature?

Yes, it does and it works quite well.

I have it set to activate at a certain time on week nights and a different time on weekends. It sets screen to low brightness, turns off notifications and goes into silent mode.

However, I set "Vip Caller" options to ring and vibrate whenever my kids or parents call in case there is an emergency.

Also set it to turn off at the same time my alsrm clock goes off.

Smart Actions works alright most of the time.

I had it set for when it was midnight every night, and my phone was plugged in it would go to silent except for my vip callers.

There were countless times where I would plug my phone in and it would not activate, or when it was already plugged in and it became midnight it wouldn't activate

The only way to get it to work was to disable then re enable it. Very annoying.
So I stopped using it.

Tasker works very well once you can figure out to use it, but I haven't found a way to do a vip caller feature. There are a few other apps out there that do the same thing as smart Actions and work better, I just can't remember the name

Check the tasker forum? If you find a way, let me know. I hate how on some ROMS smart actions works and on others it doesn't.
