Help 'sleep' mode

Hello, I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7". For some reason it won't go to 'sleep' when I am reading a book. It works fine the rest of the time. Any suggestions how I can get it to 'sleep' if I fall asleep while I'm reading? Thank you!

Although I am not familiar with that device, do you use some sort of app to read the books? As in, perhaps there is a setting within that app that allows it to timeout, or, sleep?

What is the Display Screen Timeout set to. I set mine to 5 minutes and it turns off while using the Kindle reader.
