Root sleep/reboot of death

Hi Everyone.

I was just curious if anyone has heard of any fixes for the sleep of death on the GTab, or at least any tips or tricks around it or to prevent it from happening.

For those of you who don't know what I am talking about. The "sleep of death" (as I heard it called over at XDA) occurs when the GTab is sleeping and you attempt to "wake it up".

When you press the power button nothing happens. After 2 - 4 attempts to wake it, it will just reboot and bring you to the viewsonic boot screen.

Some days it happens a few times other times it wont happen for a few days.

At first I thought it was just an issue with Vegan 5.1.1, but I recently switched to GTabComb 3.2 Beta and it still does it, so I am thinking this is more along the lines of a GTAB issue versus something to do with the ROMs.
 
Mine has done it on every rom I have used. This includes Vegan, CM7, and GtabComb. Since it has occurred on 3 completely different roms and across 3 versions of android, I have to assume it is hardware related. Turning off Wi-Fi sleep seemed to help on vegan/cm7 but I have never been able to completely eliminate it.
 
im running the 8.1 flashback hc rom. i had the reboot from sleep problem too. i replaced the kernal with the current clemsyn version instead of the pershoot version. so far no freezing for me and its been a few hours. its worth a try.
 
At this moment they are working on a HC native kernal to get honeycomb working like it was from the factory. They said that they will be fixing that issue along with every other issue you can think of with this kernal. it looks like it shouldnt be that long now.
