Apps Slide Bar

I want to add a bar to my app like a slide able volume bar. I have seen these bars every where but have no idea how to make one. I have a value of .5 and 2.0 I want the users to be able to use it to move anywhere in between. I could not find it in the api. Could some one point me in the right direction?
