Help SlideIT Keyboard stops working

Anyone else experienced this. I got it on 4.1 and still on 4.5. Both on standard Froyo, and also on rooted Miui XJ.

After a while (normally i notice when the data gets to 1.0MB) the keyboard stops working. Sliding stops, cannot press the keyboard. Once you close say messages or whatever you're using the keyboard on, then try again, the keyboard wont even open.

Only way to fix it has been to Clear the data, reboot, then start again. It's really annoying. By far the best keyboard, for me, but i've had to remove due to this.

Spoke with technical support, but no answers as of yet. Just wandered if anyone else came across this?

Also have 51mb of memory left and 750mb A2SD.

You tried a remove data-Uninstall -reboot -install?

Just a guess, not sure if removing an application removes the data too, like I said its just a guess

Yeah, done that. Then after a period it just hangs again and the data is at 1MB. Never had this problem with v3.2, which i might just go back to.

3.2 is not quite as slick. But so far no hangs and all is well. Weird though.

Unfortunately, I can't offer anything constructive other than to add that this is happening to me too. I will try 3.2 and try to get back.

Just googled this problem and found this post. I have the same problem. Slideit works for a bit, the stops. I can't get the Keyboard back unless I uninstall/reinstall.

I had this problem too, but i found a simpler way to solve it on the spot. Install "Titanium Backup" from android market, make sure SlideIT keyboard is working properly and you have made your desired settings, then use titanium backup to do a backup of SlideIT keyboard. Whenever you run into this problem, do a data restore and viola! Its working again.
