Help "Slow 4g" compared with Nexus?

JimmyRayBob

I stopped at the Verizon store today to check out the new Nexus, and found out Verizon turned on 4G in our area yesterday (yeah).

Anyway, I ran the speedtest on the Nexus and was impressed, so i pulled out my Razr and ran it - and the speed was roughly half of the Nexus' speed. So I did it again. And again. And again. (4 times total)

Side by side, and each time the Nexus was roughly double the speed of my Razr.

The Razr got between 4.7Mb and 6.5Mb down, and slightly higher up. The Nexus was twice that.

Of course I ran out of time and couldn't stick around to ask any Verizon employees WHY this might be, but it's probably just as well because the folks here are usually better informed than the people in the store.

Any thoughts??

Trying again might be a good idea. It might be as simple as your razr was in a rf dead or hazy spot.
Like your car radio at a traffic light. One spot has static, move a few inches and you get a clear signal.
