Slow 4G LTE Speeds! *HELP*

I am making this topic because I have slow 4G Speeds.

I am with metropcs and have the $60 unlimited plan and it is the Samsung galaxy avant

Is there any zip or way to boost connection?

You posted this thread in the root section so I assumed it was to do with root. May you send a speed test result and tell us your previous test score?

Since this isn't a root-related problem, I moved your thread into the Metro PCS carrier subforum.

You say that this has been a problem since you first got the phone? Did you have a previous phone on Metro PCS with better speeds? Have you asked Metro to make sure everything on your account is provisioned correctly?

If something changed, we need to know what so that we can help you.

you arent getting lte at all you should check on that first

You show 4G with only a sliver of a bar of signal (that's why so slow)
Try different parts of town to see if you get LTE at all in your area.
Toggle Airplane mode off/on

Check your settings, make sure you show under network mode - lte is enabled

I recently signed up with metro on the $60 plan and in my area the lte is the refarmed 1900 and the highest speed I've gotten so far in download on speedtest is 11 mbps. I'm using a unlocked s4. I'm hoping the speeds gets faster

Yes it's a unlocked sgh-i337 (was at&t branded) also has the aws bands unlocked. But in my area no 4g or 3g for tmobile or metro only had 2g until the area was refarmed now there's lte and 2g. I just didn't know if the speeds would get better here ever or what? Lol

Maybe you hit the fair usage cap and are now throttled? Like the OP, think you'd need to check with Metro PCS about that, as to what limits apply to their "unlimited plan".

..and I always thought I had a bad speed or half of what every one were getting, so I guess with my cricket I'm not doing bad at all even I don't get lte and is just 3g, huh??
