Help Slow charging through USB?

I drained my TB down to zero not long after getting it today (installations, sync, etc.) and I currently have had it connected to my PC via USB for several hours. Charging seems to be incredibly slow -- I am only at 50% at the moment. It is set at "charge only" in the USB settings, incidentally, as opposed to "disk drive," etc.

I switched it to the wall charger for a bit and it seemed to charge a bit more quickly there, though I haven't analyzed it closely yet.

I never noticed this effect with my Incredible and I'm using the same USB cable and the same power cord. Anyone else notice this?

The wall charger is 1Amp. I think it takes some power to charge. Some computers arnt high power USB Ports.

Yeah.. Its not really gonna get a good charge threw your computer.

All devices generally charge slower through USB, it is what they call a trickle charge

I've gotten slow charges though USB vs wall charge on all of my devices. Totally normal.

yes usb charge is slow, but this is insanely slow. usb charge is a total waste honestly.

Depends on the PC.

Wall charger provides 1 A as previously stated; my USB port is providing 500 mA, works fine.

Some USB ports go _much_ lower, not all are full-power ports. On many PCs, if the one charging very slow is on the front of the chassis, you'll probably find that charging from a rear USB port is much better.

Another tip would be to look for a USB port that not only has a USB symbol, but also "SATA" or a lightning bolt symbol on it. They are most likely to supply power to the USB device.
