I noticed this too with my Leon. It seems to charge faster, then slower at times. Battery charging in CM12.1 seems to be much faster.

Nice question , i really like it when i read it .I've got an answer too ya.. This answer is for my phone (H340N-V10C-Rooted-Xposed Installed) so don't mess it up with yours .So if i use an USB charger like computer,tv,stereo or anything else it would do like 5-6 hours. With the normal one i got like 3-4 hours. So maybe this is your problem, who knows.

It's due to our CPU. Since the CPU likes to stay at high speeds, it's constantly acting as a drain on the battery.
Try charging with your phone actually off and compare it to when the phone isn't being used (hibernation).
It takes an hour to charge while off (maybe even less since I use the hour as a minimum) and take almost 2 hours to charge.

when rooting the lg leon thermal throttling becomes disabled on every boot you might want to re enable it
