Slow Motion Capture

So one of the main reasons I got this phone was because I read that you could do slow motion video capture on it. Sadly that doesn't seem to be the case. I can playback any video in slow motion, but I can't seem to actually adjust the speed of a video so that it permanently plays back in slow motion. If I'm missing a setting please help me out

I've only had a few mins to look around, and most I see mentioned is just that by taking video at the 60fps setting, it makes for great slow motion when the video is played back slow. I haven't found anything on actually recording it that way though. But that was only a few minutes looking at work, haven't really delved into it more than that.

While I saw a few apps in the Play Store that will play back recorded video in slow motion, I spotted on that will do slow motion playback but also seems to suggest it can record in slow motion.

Yeah, this phone can playback any video in slow motion. I realized that a few days ago. When I bought it though, I thought it would have a feature like the one in the HTC One or the iPhone 5s, where you could record the video, and then go back and edit a portion of it to play back in slow motion. I'm hoping an update will include that feature sometime in the future, but from what people are saying about LG updates, I'm not holding my breath.
