Help Slow response for camera

I have a Samsung Galaxy 2 and a Huawei (both low end phones) and a Nexus 7 (2013). I am very disappointed in the camera function of all 3 because there is often a delay from the time I press on the "shutter release" button to the time that the photo is actually taken. Because of this, candid photos are almost impossible to take. I have searched through all of the camera settings on them and can not find a setting that will change this. Am I doing something wrong? Is it a function of the software on the devices or of the hardware itself?

I pre focus my shots (using touch to focus) and I tend to find that speeds up the process. But you've older, lower end devices so there will always be a little bit of lag.

You might want to try alternative camera apps to see if they make a difference? Camera Zoom Fx or ProCapture are both pretty good IMO.

No problem, the forum software can play up sometimes too.

Either way, I've taken care of the duplicates for you.

Glad the Zoom Fx sorted you out. :)
