Apps Slow response - MOTODEV

Hello guys,
I have a very little question to you. So, I installed a MOTODEV studio (Android SDK) on my laptop. I think that a virtual machine (emulator) work very slowly ; ( I don't know why. May be I must change some options in MOTODEV studio or buy a new laptop (but I don't think so because my laptop has 4GB RAM). Please help me!

Ps. I try installed a Eclipse and the problem still the same.
Ps2. Run my first program - Hello Android - it took me 5 minutes.

On my iMac with a i7 3.4GHz CPU and 12GB of DDR3 RAM, the Android emulator still takes more than 1 minute to start up when I first run an Android program.

As long as I keep the emulator open and don't close it, subsequent starts of an Android program are quick.

If the emulator is very slow, it might be from a lacklustre CPU.
