SM-G900F Marshmellow OTA update

Hello. I've purchased a used Galaxy S5 (SM-G900F) from a reputable seller. I was under the impression Marshmallow was available for it? The device is on Android 5.0 and when I click on Software Updates it says the latest updates have already been installed. The device is SIM free (no carrier).

Am I doing something wrong? The build number is LRX21T.G900FXXU1POK5 if that's any help?

Hi, the updates are pushed out by your carrier, check on the Sammobile web site to see if there is an update put out by your carrier, if you are unsure post your carrier and country details and I will try to check for you. Phil

There are a number of reasons that your phone may have not updated. Not all Galaxy S5 Product Codes have received Marshmallow, Android 6.0.1, yet. Also, if the phone has been rooted or had an alternative stock firmware flashed to it that does not match the original Product Code, it will not be able to update OTA or via Kies/Smart Switch.

For details of how to locate your phone's firmware details and Product Code and for reasons you may not have been updated, see #1.8 and #1.10 of 42 Galaxy S5 models - Dummies Guide.

I'll try and digest that. The details for the phone I purchased are:

AP : G900FXXU1POK5
CP : G900FXXU1POJ1
CSC : G900FNEE1POK1

Your CSC code denotes Nordic Countries which have yet to receive the Marshmallow update. Providing your Product code matches, you should receive the OTA update when it is released.

Ah interesting. I'm in the UK but that's not to say this S5 didn't originate from somewhere else in Europe. Thank you for your help.

I downloaded the app Phone INFO ★Samsung★ and that said my product code is SM-G900FZKANEE. I also ran the refurbishment check and it said my phone is original. It also said 0x0 under Knox Warranty Void which sounds promising?

Looks like your diagnosis is correct?
