SM-G900W8

It doesn't have 4G LTE in the network settings, it's only got setting for selecting 2G or 3G? Got no idea at all. I'm thinking it should have. They do have 4G LTE in Canada that uses same bands as US, AFAIK.

This is the forum sticky for all 40 versions of the S5.

It says the SM-G900W8
"Canadian, (all branded), and Puerto Rican variant of the Galaxy S5. There are around 13 different firmwares for this model. Carriers include, Videotron, GlobalAlive Wind, Virgin (Canada), Koodoo, SaskTel, Fido, EastLink, MobilCity, Rogers, Telus and Bell."

Does this S5 have any branding or bloat etc. for any Canadian carriers, like Rogers or something? You got it working, so that proves is not locked to a Canadian carrier.

got the phone put my at&t sim in. No service. Had to fool around in network settings (mobile networks/network operators/search) to get at&t phone working. So then I still had no data. Manually input a new apn (more networks/mobile networks/access point names) used plus sign and then saved it then selected it. This is the apn I used:
Name: ATT Phone
APN: phone
Proxy: Not set
Port : Not set
User name: Not set
Password: Not set
Server: Not set
MMSC: http://mmsc.mobile.att.net
MMS proxy: proxy.mobile.att.net
MMS port: 80
MCC: 300
MNC: 410
Authentication type: None
APN type: default,mms,supl,hipri
APN protocol: IPv4
APN roaming protocol: IPv4
Enable/disable APN: APN enabled
Bearer: Unspecified

So then I had edge or 3g only. Tried to select lte in the network mode settings but it wasn't there. So then I used this secret code from the dial pad *#2263# then I picked lte/gsm - got 4glte now.
