Small question about image's information

Is there any application that retrieves Latitude/Longitude information of an image?? A friend sent me a picture and I would like to know where that picture was taken.

I know iphone has an application like this.

First of all it depends on the user who took the photo and their settings. As you may or may not know but now photo's info timestamp, gps, size, resolution, ect is now kept digitally in EXIF metadata in to the header of the photo. Which you can access it by opening the photo and going to Menu> More> Details. Now keep in mind if the user had disabled it no way you can access that as it was never written.
