Help Smart actions question

I am using a time frame trigger (8am to 530pm) to lauch application (imo instant messanger).

It launches the program fine but does not close the program at it is scheduled in the timeframe trigger.

Am I expecting it to do something it isn't able to do? I realize launch application doesn't mean to also close it, any help would be appreciated.

If smart atcions is not capable of this, would tasker be able to?

I don't think there is an out of the box way of doing that with smart actions. I'm pretty sure tasker can, but I don't use tasker so I'm not 100%. You might be able to set up a task killer to kill the app when the task killer starts and then use SA to run the task killer.
