Smart Keyboard, Better Keyboard or Ultra Keyboard?

So far I've tried Ultra Keyboard on my Desire and have found that it force closed 7 or 8 times during the 24 hr trial and thats pretty poo. So I have uninstalled it and I've found Better Keyboard and someone suggested Smart Keyboard in this forum.

I really like the iphone qwerty keyboard and how it works so wondering if anyone else had issues with fc on ultra keyboard or any of these other keyboard apps and what they did to fix it?

any suggestions of any better keyboard apps would be appreciated too. I like that better and ultra keyboard have themes that you can download but i guess its not as important as an app that doesn't force close all the time :)
 
I've tried about 5 or 6 different keyboards. And at the end of the day, I always come to the conclusion that the stock HTC one is quicker and more accurate.

Just wanted to let you know that I don't ignore the FC's at all. I know there have been a bit lately and I take responsibility for that. I've fixed quite a few lately, and will fix even more as I find them (a problem is a lot of people won't tell me HOW they got the app to FC... just that it did...).
 
I had Swiftkey which was nice but have ended up with stock again. The key determining factor was that Swiftkey confused the hell out of me when i was drunk. :-)
 
I like ShapeWriter keyboard, but some apps don't work with it. I also use the HTC_IME mod keyboard and SwiftKey beta from time to time.
 
I use swiftkey too - the autocorrect is fantastic. I can't wait for blindtype though (have a google) it looks fantastic - you can even have the entire screen be an invisible keyboard.
 
Swype for me. Tried it a while ago and confused me but have been using it for about a month now and love it. Its really a lot faster and easier than normal keyboards. Easy to use one handed too while you are walking etc.

My Mrs even uses it and loves it and that is a BIG seal of approval :D

You can also design your own keyboard here. Using the HTC mod one but changing the keys etc to what you like. Site is still a work in progress but once you download and install they work great :D

I <3 Smart Keyboard with black skin, giant letters with no button images make it real easy to type fast, all the other keyboards sans iPhone skin for Better Keyboard(?) are a bit difficult to see.

Swype is excellent too, but takes quite a bit getting used to.
 
I use the stock HTC one which now has Swype built in, Swype keyboard sometimes because it came installed on my phone and it looks cooler than the default one, and Go Keyboard because of Japanese typing and Kanji writing and it's customizable, though not as accurate as the stock keyboard.
 
I still use HTC IME.mod by Jonas lime. Like HTC but better. ...and skinable
