Smart Keyboard

I know that several threads have been made in the past regarding Smart Keyboard, but I don't find that any directly address my concerns.

I downloaded the free version the other day (the night before my OTA update to 2.1) and started to play around with it. My intention was lto purchase the PRO version provided I saw value in the program, as is always my intention. I know the Lite version doesn't include certain features like auto predict and the like, but I was disappointed with the proclaimed improvements over the stock soft keyboard. I did notice that the letter keys were slightly larger as a result of improved spacing but aside from that I saw no difference. Does anyone have experience with this program to the point that you could help me see what I am missing?

Also, does the new speech to text application work in conjunction with the Smart Keyboard? Again, I'm seeking to learn from someone who has downloaded the PRO version.

The PRO version is nothing like the LITE version. The word prediction is amazing. It's as if the keyboard knows what word you are trying to spell, even if you are off a ton of letters.

The STT works flawlessly, at least for me it does.

There are also a ton of great gesture features that you can apply to the keyboard.

I'm not saying that it is perfect, but it is a great app.

I also switch between Better Keyboard as well. I like better keyboard simply because of all the skinning options.
 
I've bought both and I can honestly say Smart keyboard is the better keyboard. The prediction is amazing and I make 10 times less mistakes with it than better keyboard.

It does come stock with a black one, but its horrible. There is no outline, better keyboards skin is amazing compared to smart's.

Yea. All the other skins, other than the iphone one, are horrible.

Skinning is the main reason I use BK more the SK.
