I am amidst a lengthy text messages transfer from my iPhone dating back years and now my messages app doesnt work because the wssyncmlnps process, even when I force stop it, isnt working properly. Rebooting the phone only brings the back the wssyncmlnps process and it completely high jacks the messages app. How do I stop the process for good and just clean everything out and start fresh with no transfer? Thanks in advance!

Have you tried going to the Messaging app in the App manager and deleting data+cache?

Here's a fix from others who had the problem. Give it a try: Go to applications -> settings -> apps -> all -> LogsProvider. Choose LogsProvider -> clear data

Most results deal with SmartSwitch and the S2 ICS upgrade. Might just have to say eff it and go for broke with a factory reset.
