hi, my model type is HTC desire x with additional SD micro card about 16 GB ,, recently i couldn't update / install new applications due to the insufficient storage available , i deleted everything on my SD and the problem exists,, anyway i got into Settings - storage and in app storage section showing that apps have only 0.93 GB while "other" showing 1.81 GB and i have only 172 MB available on my smartphone how should i get this storage bigger while i have a large amount on my SD was not used yet .. i searched through the internet and i found such problem as a common .. i really get annoyed with such problem .. please help with any way to solve to sort this out ,,, thanks

The only thing you can put on your SD card are things like pictures and music. Your apps are always stored on your phones internal memory. If upgrading your phone is not an option you can always root it.
This will give you a tad more storage and the ability to get rid of the bloatware on your phone giving you some more free space.
If rooting is the option you want to go with I suggest you register as a member so that you will have better access to the many members who can help you.
All you have to do is visit the all things root section for your phone.
Hope I have helped.
