So, do I get the award for most busted Razr Maxx? Got hit by at least 3 cars (one in front of me, mine, one behind me) and probably far more. Only good news is this one isn't mine - I did a doubletake in the mirror and circled back around to see what I'd run over. It had a cheapo gel case on it, which did a pretty incredible job of protecting the back of the phone. Front half, not so much. It doesn't turn on (duh?) but is intact enough to flash the indicator LED when plugged into a charger.

Now, who managed to lose a phone in the middle of a semi-major road?

grats on your free SD card! and replacement battery? i know it's not SUPPOSED to come off, but there ARE ways to remove that back case.

Heh, thanks. I'm debating trying to track down the original owner, but a) I'm worried that they might find it weird - all I can think of to do is plug their sim into my phone and activate it on their line, get the phone number, switch back, and then call it and hope they have a new phone hooked up. Which actually wouldn't help me, because that'd mean this sim card won't do anything. b) there's not much left to give them back. SD card won't read, guess getting run over repeatedly will do that Also, I'm headed out of town starting tomorrow, so...yeah.

It's also kind of tempting to use the phone for spare parts if I end up needing them, but I'm a little afraid of the state that it's in - the battery on the crushed phone is pretty hot. Like, considerably hotter than my own maxx, which is actually ON. Not sure I want to rely on that thing, or carry it around in my pants pocket for that matter. Speaking of which, wonder if I should store this guy outside in case it has some fireworks left to give...

Well, if the owner has insurance, he has probably already had it replaced.

I wouldn't count on being able to use any of the parts.

Good to know that Kevlar backing held up lol. Can't say the same about the Gorilla glass.
