Smileys help

[fyrelight74]

I have Verizon Droid 2 Global. Friend has different phone, Sprint carrier. All their smileys come to me in brackets instead of the actual smiley. Can I enable something somewhere to see their smileys? An example of what I see... <%$> What smiley is that anyway???

Welcome to AF.

Different phones have different features and I guess while there phone supports smileys yours doesn't. There's apps that can do this, and maybe he has one of these apps or his phone does this out of stock.

My phone supports smileys from everyone else. It's something between his Sprint phone and my Verizon one, it appears....

What phone does he have? He may be using emoji smileys. iPhones have those as well as regular smileys. If he is using such, you need an SMS app that supports emoji, like Go SMS Pro with Emoji plugin.
