Help SMS apps hang after ICS update

So after VZW's push update to 6.16.211 this morning, I have been unable to open either GoSMS or the stock Text Messaging app: I get a "GO SMS Pro is not responding. Would you like to close it?" prompt with the former, and a progress circle that spins endlessly at the top of the screen with the latter. Any similar experiences or suggestions?
 
Should have spent a few extra moments troubleshooting it myself before posting: seems it was just a matter of enabling data access over the mobile network post-update. Problem solved.
