SMS Auto-forwarding

OK, that's understandable... and still an improvement, since MMS was previously ignored (+ I don't receive many, and HeyWire-to-HeyWire MMS works perfectly). Two thoughts come to mind, if you think either is worth further consideration:
1. Offer the ability to configure an email address for MMS in addition to the forwarding number used for everything else. If it could send SMS notification of the email (or as it currently does), it would be icing on the cake!
2. Your idea of upload to cloud... offer a user config option to integrate with Box, Dropbox, etc. I use several apps that work this way now (e.g., JS Backup, OfficeSuite Pro).

Thanks for your continued interest and support. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

We've recently released PopMyPhone which may be of interest. It sends SMS, MMS, missed call details, dialled/received call details, phone location to any email address. You can also reply to SMS messages directly from email. It doesn't have to use a GMail address, your personal or work address can be used. We'd love to hear your feedback

I don't send many texts, but will any of these suggestions:

Forward a text headed to my cell# (with the cell off), to my GV number or email? ie: will it intercept the text before reaching my cell and forward it?

Now that I have a Nexus7 tablet, my phone is almost never on, but I get texts from the provider (Virgin Mobile) that I would like to receive on my Tablet.

@PVS, I came upon a post over at XDA, looking for a MMS > fwd > another phone solution.

I posted some questions there, but figure I'll ask here again:

This app has great potential. It fills a niche for sure. This addresses the limits of Google Voice (lack of MMS support).

Questions/concerns:

1) When will MMS forward to another phone be available? (I read in this thread that there are Android limitations, any progress?)

2) I am concerned about forwarding MMS through gearandroid, privacy issues. Can you discuss?

3) When I reply from Gmail, adding // at the end of my reply, it does not work. Nothing is received by the sending phone.

I'd gladly pay for this app and then some if these issues can be addressed.

Thanks.

And, also reduced price to $ 0.99!

Hello snovvman:

1) When will MMS forward to another phone be available?

>> Finally done, please give it a try!

2) I am concerned about forwarding MMS through gearandroid, privacy issues. Can you discuss?

>> When forwarding to an email address, the PhoneLeash app uses gearandroid.com's mail servers. We simply don't store anything -- its merely SMTP transport. Your commands and replies are stored until the push message causes the PhoneLeash app to pick them up. If this takes longer than 30 minutes, these are deleted as well. Basically, the goal is to ensure a zero footprint as far as user activity data.

3) When I reply from Gmail, adding // at the end of my reply, it does not work. Nothing is received by the sending phone.

>> This ought to be fixed

Thanks!
