SMS backup & restore

[Allan87]

I have SMS backup installed but from what I can see it does just that, no restore option (please correct me if I'm wrong!). Is there any free app that'll allow me to backup my SMS history and restore it all after a factory reset?

If im not mistake, after you reinstall the app and sign in with your Gmail user name and password, it automatically restores them. I think i remember that happening to me a few months back.
I actually didn't care if I lost my messages, so it kinda surprised me.

SMS Backup and Restore does exactly what you're talking about.

Is the SDK floating around anywhere as the main reason I need to do a factory reset is that I cannot download anything from the market.
