Sms changing to multimedia

Hiya

all of a sudden my text start convertin to a mms when it gets so long. Didnt used to do this. Is there anyway around this as its costin me or i have to split the text up. I have sg3 on orange.

Shorten the message? Or split it.

Some SMS clients have this as an option. Might be worth checking settings, or maybe trying a different app.
