Help SMS How to insert New Line

Hi,

Any help appreciated.

I have a Galaxy A71 5g phone.

Question:
When creating a SMS text message I would like to insert a new line for a paragraph/sentence, how is this done?

If I hit enter it sends message , I've tried researching but haven't found anything to help.

Curious, I just tried it with my Note20 Ultra using the stock Samsung messaging with Swiftkey keyboard, and pressing Enter does insert a new line. And there's a separate button in the app to actually send the message.

Maybe try a different messaging app? Textra is often recommended on AF, also try Swiftkey text input.

I have a separate button as well, I can confirm when hitting enter does send message.
I have the standard keyboard that come with phone.
Don't know how to check what keyboard it is, if you need to know let me know how to check.

I've also tried using the stock Samsung keyboard that came with the phone, and tapping Enter still gives a new line or new paragraph in the stock messaging app on the Galaxy Note20 Ultra, as it should.

So the issue sounds like it's in the stock messaging app that came with the Galaxy A70s. Suggest trying a different messaging app. As I said Textra is often recommended here on AF. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.textra&hl=en_US&gl=US
