SMS lockscreen preview

Hey guys, on my HTC Sensation the built in sms app has a feature so that when I get a text, if my phone is locked, a bubble appears showing the persons profile picture and the first few lines of there message.

Is there an app I can download that will do this, so that I can use a 3rd party sms app and still have this sort of feature? Ive heard of SMS popup and one other app but the name has slipped my mind. With those I find that it semi unlocks the phone so you can reply/delete/dismiss the sms, which I prefer wouldn't happen incase of accidental replying whilst the phone is in my pocket or its a case of still having to unlock my phone to see this preview which just appears above my homescreen.

I understand this seems quite a fussy request of me, but any help is appreciated. Thanks :)

Oh and Happy New Year folks!

Does any of these apps show the popup over the lockscreen though? Whilst keeping me from accidentally replying in my pocket?

Ideally that is what Im looking for, but it seems most apps I have to unlock my phone before seeing the popup, so from the lockscreen I still only get the little status bar icon. That or it shows the popup and unlocks the phone, which I don't really want incase I reply/delete sms whilst my phone is in my pocket.

Handcent can show the popup over the lock screen, though I found it doesn't always work. Don't know about the other 2 offhand.

The app SMS Popup lets you configure and disable the buttons on the popup, which should give you what you want (see the message but no option to delete it accidentally).

Oh right. Do I have to unlock my phone first before I can see the popup though, or is it visible over my lock screen?

Thanks.

Actually I use WidgetLocker rather than the standard lockscreen, and use the option that app has to stop popups appearing over the lockscreen. So I don't actually know, but suspect it will show up. But as it's free, you can just test and see.

Oh right, thanks anyway. I did try widget locker before, which would be useful in this situation as I could just put a message widget on my lock screen, but it kept disagreeing with my HTC sensation calendar notifications.
