Help SMS message alerts that will wake me up

I'm sure I'm not the only one with this issue, but I can't seem to find a good solution. I need text alerts to wake me up at night, but all the tones in the default message application are just little blips. (I can't miss text messages from work at night)

Is there some way to get longer, or looping tones in the default sms message app? I've been reading that other apps can do this, but many of them are buggy.. I need an app that is extremely reliable, and will wake me up (I'm fine paying for one).

Anyone have a suggestion?

Try Zedge ringtones and wallpapers. Great ringtones.

Thanks.. That helps a little, as I'm able to set longer ringtones as notifications.. Not sure they're long enough to wake me up though, is there a way to make them loop, or go off every minute or 2 until answered? My old dumb phone from 1998 could do this.

Zedge is great. I have the opposite problem. I can't sleep so i need a wake to block most of my stuff

The tone I find hilarious on Zedge is "Hip Hop Chicken"

If hip hop chicken doesn't wake you up I don't know what will hehe. Sorry I was going to suggest zedge also but that will just get you more options for tones. I have work on ignore B)

Put an mp3 of whatever you want in sdcard/media/audio/notifications. After a while, it should appear in your notification choices.
