Help SMS Message Attachment Issue

Ok, so here's my problem. I get messages sent by SMS with attachments. All I see in the word bubble is the timestamp and the download button. I press the button, but nothing happens. Is there something I'm doing wrong, or maybe someone can step me through a fix?

Same problem here. My dad sent me a contact from his iphone and it wouldn't download, not sure if it was incompatible. I've also had several pictures sent by friends I couldn't download.
