I have just got a Samsung Galaxy S5 and installed google hangouts to use for my SMS messages but it seems texts only come through if I start the conversation, this also happened on my partners S5 so it's not my phone, we've both gone back to the stock messaging app which works fine, any idea what the problem is? It worked fine on my old HTC One
Just to clarify the problem:
My mum text me, I didn't get it, she thought I'd ignored it so later on she phoned me, I explained I'd not got the text, she sent another one and still nothing, I text her using hangouts and it worked, she replied and it came through
