Help SMS not downloading

There's been reports that it's a known issue. I've also heard AT&T saying it's an unfixable software issue and are replacing G2s with s4s or iPhones. Idk how true that is though. You may want to contact AT&T to be certain.

Do you mean the app won't update, or it won't download MMS content?

Have you gone to Settings | Application manager |scroll all the way to the right for ALL, then scroll down till you see Messaging. Clear data, clear cache, and reboot phone.
 
Also, check to see if you have lost your APN settings. While MMS isn't considered data per se, MMS uses data. Then again, you didn't report data issues (no emails, etc.), so probably not the issue. Worth a shot asking still, in case MMS Proxy and MMS Port in the APN settings were lost but the rest retained.
 
Yes I meant mms, I called at&t and they fixed my issue. Had me change my mobile network setting and changed something in their end now it works
