Help SMS problems

Yeah, i've had my san fran about 2 months and it has stopped sending text to cretin contacts, none of the contacts seem to have any thing linking them to each other well nothing obvious, so yeah, can anybody help? thanks
 
I can't help, but my GF is having the exact same problem at the moment.

I'm flashing a different ROM tomorrow so will post and let you know if that makes a difference.
 
Putting on a new version of Android that isn't an official update.

It gets rid of all the Orange stuff and upgrades to Android 2.2 (there are also some 2.3 ROMS out there).

It's kinda like upgrading from XP to Windows 7. Does that make sense?
