SMS Volume

Hi!

I'm new to the forum so I hope I'm in the right area. I have a Samsung Galaxy Mini, Android version being 2.3.4. When I set the SMS ringtone as a custom ringtone the ringtone plays really softly when an SMS comes in. My volume bars such as Notification are maxed out, yet the volume still comes out too soft. Is there a way to fix this? I'm not really interested in amplifiing the actual sound of the audio file using audio software. Any ideas? If you need to find out something I've failed to mention, feel free to let me know!

Just guessing that you need to up the volume on your ringtone after all. If you volumes are maxed out there is nothing else you can do. It's a quiet sound file.

I make lots of custom ringtones and I have to do this often.

Man I was hoping not to do that. God damn Samsung or Google or whoever made the default app on that operating system. It's so ridiculous that something like 'setting a ringtone' has poor volume bars, not to mention setting a custom one required looking how to do so on the internet. Where's my 6-year-old Nokia...
