how do i block SMS that are being sent by other people not in my contact list

Welcome to AF, If you like to block messages from people outside of your contact list just hold down on that message thread. Then a menu should drop down, typical there should be a option to block that number.

off the top of my head i cant recall the apps name,but if you search sms and caller id in the market you should find a few,if that doesnt help,take a min to join adroidforums.com,you will find a bunch of interesting things,and make friends,good luck and hope to see you in the forum soon!!!!
