Root SMUpdater Stuck!

Doubledee90

Android Enthusiast
I tried using SMUpdater, and I have used it before, but I just got a new DROID so Im running it again. So Im having it flash the rom and it froze so I battery pulled and now its on the SPRecovery and it says arrempting Nandroid backup then it says ERROR: Nandroid exited with status 34 attempting to install ROM from /sdcard/sholesmod-2.0.5.rom.tgz...Decompressing ROM. Nothing has bene happening and I cant restart in recovery mode!! HELP PLEASE!!

Sounds like the ROM download was corrupted somehow, maybe try unrooting and deleting all traces of SMUpdater and then reinstall and let it download the ROM again. Personally I would just root it manually and install SPRecovery then flash whatever ROM you want.

Had the same problem and I had to power off take the SD card out then power on without the SD card. Then I was able to recover to a backup.
