Snake Identification App (need testing!)

I am pretty new in the world of app development. I believe my app may be good to go, but I would like to be sure. I works fine on my Samsung Captivate, but it has not been tried on any other models. If any of you have the time could you please check it out for me?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the Android forums!
It runs well on my ZTE Blade with CM7.1, very useful app for hikers (even if there is just one poisonous snake in my country and this is not listed).

Few remarks:
- when the advertisement is loaded on main screen, the bottommost button is shrunken and nearly invisible
- it's impossible to get info from image list (it will be fine to get info by tapping the snake photo)

Hey Jgc,

Just trying out your app and there's a lot of room for improvement. I have the Atrix, rooted with CM7

1) Search feature is greatly needed for such an app
2) UI is not polished enough, something I think you'll be working on ;)
3) Scrolling on the snake name is quite fast and I find a bit dizzying. I would suggest that you have the A B C letter scrolling that's similar to your contact list.
4) I hope you're going to continue to add more information since at the moment, it's pretty basic. I would like to also know the regions that the snake is found in. So I think if you want to expand on the app, that would be something to consider in having a map.

To play on what KejlyCZ said about using the app for hiking, if you can use GPS, identify where the person is and give them a list of snakes that are in their region, that would be such a great app to have :)

Thank you both for checking it out for me.

The list is a still a work in progress. Snakes are currently limited to the U.S. I do plan to expand though. Integrating the GPS is an amazing idea!
