SNESoid on EVO

When I attempt to open a ROM, e.g. Super Mario RPG, all I get is the on-screen controller and a black screen. I tried this with the paid version and the lite version.

Anyone else experienced this with the EVO?

No issues on my Evo with SNESoid. Did you unzip the ROMs? Did you test the ROMs on your PC with another emulator? FYI, I just tested Super Mario RPG Legend of the 7 Stars with no issue on my fully stock Evo.

same here. My rom is zipped too.

have u tried other roms?

The Super Mario RPG Rom is unzipped and tested working with a PC emulator. Will try different roms and let you know but still nothing but a blank screen with on-screen controller as of now

There are a couple of free ROM finding programs in the market. ROM Gripper comes to mind and there was another program released within the past week. Try to grab another ROM via one of those programs because it sounds like your file is corrupt.

Make sure you have the "Use C Core" option selected. Super Mario RPG won't work unless you have this selected. The same is true for other games, so if you are getting that black screen, try this and it should work. If not, you have a bad ROM. This makes Super Mario RPG work on my G1, though it is incredibly slow (because of the phone, not the emu).
