Help Snycing Google Contacts & Facebook Contacts Question

I have both Google and Facebook accounts set up in my phone.

I chose to sync Facebook contacts because I thought I could select for my contacts to sync ONLY with the people already on my contact list, but apparently it doesn't work that way.

I unchecked sync contacts under settings, but my contact list is still bloated with a crap ton of people on Facebook that I don't want on my phone.

Any idea what I can do about this?

Is it possible to just sync them with the contacts already on my phone?

Hope I'm making some sense.
