Root so close, yet so far..

My Mum & I both have SGS :)

I flashed/rooted my phone to darkys vs7 :)
heres the process I took for mine:

used odin to put on the 3 button recovery fix
then flashed to speedmod kernel
then transfered cwm+2e etc, also transfered darkys vs7
then went into recovery, 'installed' the cwm etc, the darkys

then I wanted to do my Mums phone.. I stuffed up :(
first I was supposed to do the 3 button recovery fix, but I accidently clicked on the wrong file, applying the speedmod kernel first :(
I tried re-booting the phone, but it hangs @ the first screen (samsung name & phone name & model number)
I tried repeatedly to get into recovery.. didnt work
I then tried to flash the correct file for 3 button fix - didnt work!
tried some more with getting into recovery.. didnt work
tried flashing the 3 button fix again.. WORKED!

so now I can get into recovery & download.. in recovery mode I can access cwm settings & speedmod settings.. however, the phone will still not boot into os - it still hangs @ very first screen..

I'm guessing that, all I need to do is apply darkys rom.. the trouble is, how do I transfer it to my phone? how do I transfer a 190MB file onto a phone that only goes into recovery mode or download mode, but doesnt boot into os? :(

help please!?

Recovery mode can read the SD card correct? You might be able to use an SD card reader to transfer the file to the card and run it that way.

Just go to download mode and flash any compatible firmware on the phone using odin, so your phone can boot up. once the phone boots up you can transfer whatever file you want to the internal card.
