If anyone else having problems with the volume levels on their Nexus 5?

It is really quiet for me

Strangely enough, I saw an article yesterday that claimed there are lots of people reporting an issue around volume levels on earphones on the Google forums. I checked here and couldn't see anything about it.

Something to do with some component being set up for ios not for android. Have to admit I only skimmed the article.

It did say Google are working on the issue. I think it also said a temporary work-around is to hold the play/hang up button when you plug the headset in.

Did you see this thread? Apparently some units had glue leaking into the holes meant for the speaker...

I have not used the headphones yet only the main speaker.

I emailed Google earlier who are looking into this for me.

I have to turn the volume all the way up when I have headphones plugged in. Really hope there is a fix for this.

I have read if you go into google music, activate the equalizer and disable surround sound you will get better results for headphones, however this does not work for the speakers.

Ok that seems to work. You can turn it off and the volume will still be louder.

They need to fix this.
