So happy I left Apple !

on one hand.. I can see the sense in it.. (and wouldn't be surprised if they were the only ones...)

On the other hand, if it isn't alerting users to this, then its a really shady and unethical thing to do... and may well be trying to avoid apple's warranty liabilities.

Just like VW they've been caught... and only admitted it after they were caught

Plus what about people that get the battery replaced?

I saw this the other day. On one hand, it's a logical explanation to the conspiracy that Apple's devices slow down to force users to upgrade. On the other hand, it's a good cover for the same conspiracy. I mean, everyone knows that batteries degrade over time. This would be the perfect cover for intentionally slowing down devices to force and upgrade. They can play the good guy by saying they are saving battery life. To be fair, any device that had a non removable battery is subject to the same sort of situation. Though I don't know of any Android devices that throttle performance when this happens. But most people won't bother to replace a battery in a device with a "non removable battery". I feel like this is intentional to encourage an upgrade. But apple takes it to the next level by throttling device performance. Bum bum bum. Sleep on that one.

Its a con to slown down Iphone users to appearantly improve battery WITHOUT TELLING.
I had an iphone 6 and the battery was fine until i upgraded to ios 11. So it seems the battery was actually fine but the software they released was actually ment to harm older phones. This is what I believe as many of my friends started having issues with battery life. Also there were lots of articles about people complaining about their battery after upgrade.
My mum has an iphone se ,new, ios 10, no problem, my brother however, has the same phone but with new ios 11. NEW phone. He charges it twice a day.
So does my colleague with his new iphone 7.
Improving battery life is just the most stupid excuse they could come up with.
It was Apple's intension to slown down phones, kill battery life and force them to buy the most overpriced iphone in history for £1000!
All this tacticc worked with me, they pushed me to my limits to not hit the wall with that phone being dead at 1pm from fully charged in the morning. Fortunately they didnt manage to rob me of £1000, and instead I left them, forever!
PS: do you still remember Apples latest court ruling for tax evasion? This is one greedy company second to none!

If the intent of the throttling was to force you purchase a new device I don't think that replacing the battery would remove said throttling.
