Root so how do i remove adw launcher on reppard cm7

so i do not like adw launcher and i would like to remove it but i cant do it from application settings so how?:/ and if i do will i get the stock cyanogen mod launcher or if not is there a way to get it?. and if i remove adw will there be any problems.

Get something like root explorer. Navigate to system/app/ and there should be adw. It could say org.adwlauncher.com or something. Just take it off if you want. And adw is the only launcher on it. Download mxhome, Regina, spb shell 3D, or launcherpro. That way you have. Another launcher. Adw is basically the stock.

yeah make sure yu download another launcher first. the stock launcher is not included. if you delete adw without having another launcher, you will run into problems

I don't know about removing it, since it is part of the ROM, however, you could get a different one from the market. Right after the install it'll ask you which launder you want to use. Once you have a new launcher, do you have Titanium Backup? 'Cause with that you could freeze, or you might even be able to uninstall it. I don't know if you can do that. I was able to do that with the terminal emulator that is a part of the ROM. I wanted the updated version, and I don't own the pro version of tibu so can't freeze or update market links with my free version. Sorry if I'm rambling, I'm working on three hours of sleep in the last 24.

aflick has a good point, you can use Titanium Backup to freeze or uninstall it. But, it's really small and you might need a backup-home if your launcher goes, right? That's why I keep ADW -- it's so small.

i have the paid version of adw, i just deleted the apk under system/apps after installing the paid version, did the same thing with zeam before. the ADW settings menu will diapear from under the Settings menu.. but thats all
