So, I Stole my Sisters RAM =)

To Start, I'm a MAJOR computer nerd, currently in my first semester of college going for my degree in IST, well.. Last Christmas my mom decided to buy my sister and I identical hp g60 laptops with 3 gigs of ram and dual core processors. They are pretty nice. But the 3 gigs of ram really has gotten to me this whole time. Well my sister came by (shes only 17 but lives with a friend) She brought her laptop with her so she could play around on facebook or what have you. well she left briefly and I had the bright idea. I decided to run her laptop in my room and take out her 2gig stick and replace it with my 1gig stick so that I have 4 gigs now, and she has 2. Oh well. So am I a bad person now? I mean she doesnt need all that ram, nor will she ever know it's gone. but either way. LOL!
 
Tsk... tsk... tsk... that's just being cruel to your poor little sister! ;) LOL

Does she need the extra MB? Well what OS are both of the laptops running? Some versions of Windoze are more resource hungry than others.

A Christmas gift from mom. This guy doesn't respect anybody in his family, apparently; at least not mom or sis.

Anyway, this is not a Computers and IT thread.. more of a Lounge thread as the subject matter is loosely based on the RAM but more centered on the OP's apparent sense of guilt. I'll move it to the Lounge.

The "sticks" are great euphemisms. I'm going to bed.

I'm glad to see all the response from everyone, except for people calling me a bad person. I mean you don't know anything about me except for that I stole my sisters RAM, but she's done way worse to me, trust me shes NOT the victim, I just hit her where she wouldnt even know I did. As for what I'm doing with the extra ram, I'm writing programs for school and different things, I didn't really need It but....Who cares? And yes it Is windows 7.

I hope your sister's laptop goes in for warranty replacement someday. She'll figure it out then when they decline the warranty.
