so the update is this week (well ment to be) but i think sony is being a bit quiet on the home front with the Russian saying much sooner than you think

Keep in mind, that the UK has the X10i while we have the X10a

I hoped for it... but firmware version is still 1.6

The update to Eclair will be automatic?

if its not there are a lot of things Ericsson will have to answer for and also if your on 020 got a little bit to go we have been stuck on 026 for about a month sad to say

yeah but if you are on a network they need to put all there s**t on it and take up all the memory and then hold up the update

Only partially true... Roger's hasn't rolled out any updates, but if you run the SEUS program, you can install the 26 firmware no problems.

i had an update appear OTA on 15th September

and no - before you jump up and down all excited, it wasn't the ECLAIR

was just another sugar coating to DONUT - which SE-UK couldn't tell me why

no matter - i have cadburys on standby for the 23rd - probably the only eclair i get

I tried but even on SEUS it said that my phone was on the latest firmware and my only option was (if i had any troubles) to flash the phone. 026 is availlable only for the X10i not the X10a

He goes on to say that the Android 2.1x update will fall in December 2010/January 2011. This means that if SE is planning a Froyo update for the Xperia X10, it won’t fall in 2010.

Well goodluck with that - i asked T-Mobile here in UK on Twitter:

"@TmobileUKhelp Do you have any news on Sony X10 firmware update ?"

I received a Direct Message in reply:

" we should have that for next month, we will put out a public tweet closer to the time to let eveyone know ) "

so yes - Sony may release the software themselves by the end of September but may take a while to filter through

im just thinking for the proper sony update because my x10 is unbranded so leave t mobile to add all there stuff and it could be next year so sorry about that but hopes are not that high up but would be nice
