so my cliq wont update to the 2.1 eclair so tmobile says "just upgrade to a new device" wtf!

My cliq won't update to the 2.1 and there is no where to to send my phone to have it ins talled for me. T-mobile says they cant'/wint install it for me and motorola says I should be able to do this and to contact t-mobile. T-mobile says to just upgrade to a new device. Come on why can't I get some help I've been with t-mobile 5yrs and I'm getting some awful C/S lately. Does anyone know how I can get some help installing a simple update.

What is the problem you are running into tying to update it

My device does not see the update file on the SD card. I see the zipped file in its own folder.

I have the same problem.

When I called T-Mobile, the tech support guy told me to call Motorola. They were no help either.

The zip file is in its own folder? Try putting the zip in the root of the sdcard not in a folder, boot to recovery and flash.
